Saturday's Show in The Tennessean
Hey again all:

We've already told you about the show we're playing Saturday (see blog post below).  So consider this something to whet your appetite:

Today's Tennessean covers the show and mentions your truly (ahem, The Minor Kings) and describes us one of "the city's rising talents" with "a catalogue of solidly written rock songs."

We're cool with that.

The Minor Kings in The Nashville City Paper

Nate Rau of The Nashville City Paper recently interviewed Alex Hall, lead vocalist of The Minor Kings, concerning a proposed fine on fliers in Metropolitan Nashville.  The fine would hold clubs responsible for fliers posted by artists.

In the interview, Hall voiced his opposition to the bill on the grounds that it would unfairly punish club owners.  Read the   full article here

The Minor Kings on New Musical Order!
Hello again everyone:

We've been actively casting our net in the fishery of Twitter , the micro-blogging phenomenon whose potential has yet to be quantified.  Looks like we caught something:

A music blog-site, New Musical Order , contacted us about doing a blog-feature on our FREE MUSIC commitment.  As you know, our music is available for free download from our website.  New Musical Order blogs about free music; in their own words:

The premise is simple… to provide you with the freshest LEGAL download links on the web, whatever the genre.

Check out the site and see what Dan Nash and the guys at NMO had to say about us!

The Minor Kings WRVU Interview
Hello friends:

We'll be having a kind of listening party on 91.1 FM Nashville, WRVU.  The show will be Wednesday, February 11, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (CST).  You can stream the show at wrvu.org

We'll be broadcasting four tracks from our debut album, Rock The Body Language; answering questions; and performing a couple of songs in a stripped down, acoustic style.  This last part excites us: we'll be playing a new song, "Alma Rosé", that we literally finished writing tonight. And we'll be performing "Military Science" in a way we've never done it.

So check it out--tell a friend--and we'll let you know how it goes.

The Minor Kings on iTunes!
We just wanted to let everyone know that our track "Red Flags (Green Lights) was featured in Barefoot Music, a free podcast broadcast via iTunes.

You can check it out
here:

The concept of the podcast is very cool:  kind of like a free internet radio station for independent artists.  The podcast is available on iTunes, which is fun for us because it means we can now be downloaded from the iTunes store for free (just search for Barefoot Music).
Thanks again to the fellas who put the podcast together.

Enjoy!
